What happens when you scan it?
WhatsApp QR uses WhatsApp's official “wa.me” link. When scanned, WhatsApp opens and a chat starts with the number you set; if you wrote a preset message, it waits in the text box to be sent.
You must write the number with the country code (e.g. +1 555… for the US). We clean up the leading + sign, spaces and dashes; don't put a 0 in front of the number.
If you use WhatsApp Business, you can match the preset message with your automatic replies: send your menu to customers who write “Menu” and available times to those who write “Appointment”.

The sample QR above carries exactly this content. When you fill in the form, we build this format for you.

For best results
- Add the source to the preset message (“Came from the poster”); you'll see which channel works.
- Put a WhatsApp icon in the center; users know what will open before scanning.
- If you use a business account, set your opening hours and automatic reply.
- If you change your number you'll need to print a new code; consider a short link for long-term prints.
- Print the code at least 2 × 2 cm; make it bigger as scanning distance grows (about 1/10 of the distance).
- Use a dark pattern on a light background. Some phones can't read inverted codes.
- Don't crop the space around the code; the quiet zone is needed for readability.
- Send SVG to the printer; as a vector it stays sharp at any size.
- Test the final print file with at least two different phones.
