What happens when you scan it?
In a short link QR, the code contains not your address but a short address of ours (e.g. qrandqr.com/aB3xY9k). When someone scans the code, this short address instantly redirects them to the destination you set.
Change the destination from your dashboard as often as you like; thousands of printed brochures start going to the new address. You can pause it, add a password, or move it to the trash and restore it within 90 days.
The short address has 7 characters, so the code always stays simple and easy to read, however long the destination address is.

The code carries only this short address. When scanned, the content comes from our server, so you don't need to reprint the code when you change the content.

What can you do?
Ready in four steps
- 1Sign upCreate a free account or sign in.
- 2Create the linkGive it a name and paste the destination address.
- 3Download QRDownload the ready QR from the dashboard or customize it in the designer.
- 4Update whenever you wantTo change the destination, go to your dashboard and save; the code stays the same.
For best results
- Give the link a descriptive name (“October poster”) so it's easy to find in your dashboard.
- When campaigns end, redirect the link to a general page instead of deleting it, so old prints aren't wasted.
- Create separate links for different channels; compare the visit counts.
- Password protection is ideal for documents only staff should access.
- Print the code at least 2 × 2 cm; make it bigger as scanning distance grows (about 1/10 of the distance).
- Use a dark pattern on a light background. Some phones can't read inverted codes.
- Don't crop the space around the code; the quiet zone is needed for readability.
- Send SVG to the printer; as a vector it stays sharp at any size.
- Test the final print file with at least two different phones.
